Position Summary, Job Requirements & Responsibilities:

What Were Looking For:

Iridium is looking for a dynamic marketing professional that understands the importance of creating modern, engaging marketing pieces to reflect our distinctive technology, while inspiring interaction and driving awareness among partners, end users, and anyone that loves the space industry! As a Manager, Graphic Design & Communications, youll lead a team responsible for ensuring a consistent look and feel across all of Iridiums marketing materials, leading presentation development, sourcing impactful imagery, managing graphic design initiatives, and influencing Iridiums brand experience.
In this role, our ideal candidate would possess an intuitive sense for creating and presenting pieces that bring Iridiums technology to life, while staying true to the companys overall business strategy and product marketing objectives.

What Youll Do:

Foster and develop a highly effective team of both internal and external graphic design and communications resources (creative agencies/vendors) to support global marketing and branding efforts
Mentor and train your team by performing regular check-ins, discussing career growth opportunities, giving constructive feedback, and managing conflict when necessary
Oversee the design and creative development of marketing assets for both print (case studies, brochures, newsletters, event materials) and digital (website, email, advertising) campaigns, as well as driving the development of attention?grabbing videos, animated graphics and other electronic multimedia that make viewers stop and take notice
Develop and confidently present dynamic content and graphics for executive presentations, and work with SMEs to create thought leadership pieces with the end goal of driving awareness for the organization and positioning the company as industry experts
Create graphic-based marketing resources to elevate our solutions for Aviation, Government, IoT (Internet of Things), Land Mobile, Maritime, and PNT (Position, Navigation & Timing)
Manage the development and implementation of internal communications programs, including communications such as employee newsletters, intranet updates, and quarterly meetings
Support the broader Marketing team to implement the Iridium brand across all materials in the organization, including but not limited to product packaging, standardized forms, partner communications, and signage
Support external advertising, social media, and event branding efforts through the development of creative, high-impact graphics with clear messaging and calls to action
Establish a suite of creative templates for marketing resources to be used by employees and partners, including presentations, collateral and sales tools, case studies, etc.
Produce attention-grabbing videos, animated graphics and other electronic multimedia that make viewers stop and take notice
Direct product photography shoots and provide art direction for photo selections to build a strong image repository that aligns with Iridiums brand

Experience & Education Requirements / EEO:

What Youll Need to Succeed:

Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, Advertising or similar field
8+ years of relevant experience in the design world
2+ years of previous management experience with a passion for leading people
A strong portfolio that showcases your previous work and your strengths in typography, design systems, visual storytelling, and presentation development.
