In this position, under the direction of the County Attorney, you will lead and manage high-level, sensitive, and complex projects related to policy.

We Require
Four years of experience in a criminal justice system or legal setting managing projects and conducting complex research and analysis

Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field

An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis

We Also Value
Experience in a planning or research capacity in a government agency

Experience in developing, implementing, and managing projects

Experience working with diversion program contractors and/or other behavioral health organizations.

Experience working/managing program budgets, grants, and public funding alternatives

Experience navigating behavioral health systems, including Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS), managing care plans, and the Regional Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA)

Job Contributions
Monitor diversion program contractors' performance, complete contract compliance activities on a rotating calendar, and provide the director with outcome reports

Research diversion inquiries from attorneys, courts, providers, and the public

Draft and maintain a repository for diversion-related documents, reference materials, and training guides for internal and external distribution

Facilitate diversion training presentations for internal and external audiences

Perform comprehensive research and analysis on complex departmental issues related to internal and public policy

Evaluate progress to ensure that all project goals and times are achieved and develop corrective action as necessary

Prepare extensive and complex analysis reports related to policy and research legislative issues

Collaborate with external agencies

Assist managers with general planning, developing and implementing projects, and evaluating results

Provide support in administering the department's strategic plan

Working Conditions
Work occurs primarily in an indoor office environment with long periods of sitting completing job tasks and computer activities, managing frequent interruptions, time pressures, high work volumes, and multiple unscheduled tasks simultaneously

Valid Arizona driver's license is required upon hire

Ability to travel to and from various county locations for meetings, trainings, and contract monitoring activities offsite with vendors using a personal vehicle

Ability to operate office equipment and move up to 20 pounds

After a successful six-month period after hire, employees may be eligible to telework up to 16 hours per week with supervisor approval and business need
