Donor Experience Officer
JOB PURPOSE:

University of Wyoming Foundation
The Donor Experience Officer (DXO) is a key member of the dynamic and mission-driven
University of Wyoming Foundation (UWF) team. In addition to joining UWF's talented team of development professionals, the candidate will have the opportunity to take part in a cutting edge advancement program that will change the face of annual giving.
The Donor Experience Program is focused on marrying UWF's development communications efforts with fundraising workflows in order to engage and grow the next generation of supporters of the university. The DXO will focus on providing a first-class philanthropic experience for all donors by leveraging digital engagement to effectively build relationships based on what truly matters to each individual supporter.
The DXO will manage a portfolio of donors, with clear donor retention, reactivation, and acquisition goals. The candidate will collaborate with other departments both internally at the foundation and across campus, to effectively execute 1:
1 outreach campaigns using technology resources including EverTrue's cloud platform, social media and virtual communications software.
This role is critical to helping UWF achieve both its near-term annual giving goals and long-term fundraising objectives and develop qualified major gift referrals. Candidates should be self-motivated and positive professionals, with a team-first optimistic attitude, eager to embody the Wyoming spirit and engage alumni and friends at a high velocity in a personalized manner. The DXO will work under the supervision of the Director of Annual Giving and will work under the guidance of the EverTrue Advancement Programs Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Actively engage with and build relationships with a portfolio of UW Alumni, supporters and friends
Manage a hand-selected portfolio of approximately 1,000 current and lapsed donors
Leverage technology including EverTrue's cloud platform, social media platforms and video conferencing software tools to build rapport, steward and solicit donors in an alumni centric, targeted, high-velocity manner
Execute monthly and quarterly communication plans (averaging 50+ outbound touchpoints per day) across portfolio to ensure consistent and relevant donor communication
Meet and exceed clearly defined activity, donor and revenue retention, and reactivation goals
Be fluent in the "menu" of engagement and philanthropic opportunities across the university (regional alumni events, on campus events, mentorship and volunteer opportunities, crowdfunding campaigns, fundraising priorities) to inform conversations and solicitations
Embrace a "mile-wide and inch-deep" approach to serving as a proactive advisor on resources available to donors across the institution.
Build relationships across the University campus to be in a position to connect donors with relevant individuals when applicable
Aid in outreach and follow up for events and activities
Proactively monitor engagement to identify and launch initiatives that drive donations

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:


Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
EXPERIENCE:


1-2 years of work-related experience

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in higher education fundraising as a student or professional (preferred)
Desire to pursue a career in higher education advancement
High degree of grit and resilience and desire to challenge the status quo
Unceasing "can do" attitude
Strong work ethic with a desire to become a leader in the development space
