SUMMARY

Lantic is currently recruiting for the position of Reliability Engineer based at our Taber Facility. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the main objectives of the Reliability Engineer are to provide effective operational and technical support of all plant operations and maintenance while ensuring the safety of our employees, contractors and visitors, with the objective of 'Zero Harm'; provide guidance and development to departmental personnel; lead, execute, and maintain continuous improvement, training and plant implementation in the Taber factory operations; assist with major maintenance projects; and to develop, achieve or exceed pertinent KPI criteria.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO WILL:

Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Environmental regulations and requirements with the objective of zero harm;
Lead reliability and continuous improvements for plant wide processes, systems, equipment and infrastructure, including beet receiving stations;
Lead and support in innovation, plant trials and training/succession planning;
Lead implementation of the failure analysis process to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) performance for the plant;
Assist with the management of major maintenance projects;
Assist with the development and maintenance of the CMMS, develop work plans;
Assist with the development and maintenance of effective production and maintenance reporting system;
Provide support and training for the implementation and optimization of maintenance best practices, inventory parts, standard inspection programs, and predictive/preventative maintenance programs;
Timely completion of safety corrective actions and incident investigations, including related follow ups for department;
Follow up on day-to-day achievement of operational KPIs and any related corrective action;
Support and assist with capital projects in the Taber facility;
Provide leadership to promote and support Lantic's Mission and Values;
Foster a continuous improvement and change management mindset;
Work closely with the company's Health and Safety Manager to ensure compliance with OH&S policies and practices and ensure safe work practices are being followed;
Complete required data entry, work in applicable computer applications;
Perform a variety of administrative functions required by the position;
Work on-site is required;

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO JOIN THE TEAM:

Post-secondary education in Engineering;
Proven training and experience with Continuous Improvement/Reliability programs;
CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) is preferred;
Relevant Maintenance or Project Management Courses an asset;
5+ years of experience in Maintenance Engineering;
Knowledge and familiarity with automated process technology;
Knowledge of food processing, packaging and operations;
Experience with maintenance management systems and operating procedures;
Experience in failure analysis;
Demonstrates a commitment to the safety culture;
Strong ability to motivate employees and foster teamwork;
Ability to define a strategy and implement it;
A demonstrated ability for strategic thinking and change management;
Excellent communication skills (spoken and written);
Ability to make sound decisions in a changing environment;
