We turn recycled sawdust into value-add, branded consumer products.Position Summary:
Repairs and performs routine maintenance and repairs on company semi-trailers in accordance with DOT regulations and manufacturer specifications.Trailer Mechanic Responsibilities:
Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and complete repairs on equipment and property structuresIn conjunction with the fleet maintenance supervisor, implement preventative maintenance measuresIn conjunction with the fleet maintenance supervisor, maintain inventory of repair equipment and suppliesRepair and maintain fleet equipment when requiredRespond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocolsRepair and Service various types of heavy equipment on a specific scheduleRepairs and/or replaces trailer parts such as tires, springs, hydraulic cylinders, hoses, etc.Attend educational, industry sessions and seminars as deemed necessary by managementPerform other maintenance duties as requestedTrailer Mechanic Education / Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED required vocational school preferredValid Driver LicenseKnowledge of heavy-duty equipment front end loaders, forklifts & skid steersMust have mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skillsBasic hydraulic knowledge also a plusPhysically capable of lifting 50 pounds unassistedEffective written and oral communication skillsAble to work well with minimal supervision this position reports directly to the fleet maintenance supervisorAbility to prioritize tasks and follow specified proceduresAble to work all shifts and overtime if necessary5-7 years of experience a plusMust have own set of toolsAbility to work occasional weekends as neededTrailer Mechanic Benefits:
