Job Details RN Clinical Documentation Specialist - Remote
Ensures that physician documentation of the patient's diagnosis and treatment is consistent with the Medicare Diagnostic Related Group.
Reviews numerous facets of the chart to determine if documentation present reflects the complexity of the patient and his/her resource consumption for the hospital stay.
Job Requirements Accredited School of Nursing Required: Nursing.
Minimum of 5 years Preferred: Five years clinical experience.
Minimum of 3 years Required: Three years recent clinical experience in an acute care setting.
Required: Registered Nurse in state of practice.
Schedule Information 1.00 FTE, Day position
NO auto offers
NO on call required.
Unit Specific Information Participating in continued education as needed to deepen understanding of Diagnostic Related Groups (DRGs).
Collaborating with coding professionals when questions arise.
