Job Summary

ATC Healthcare is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for an assignment in the Medical-Surgical unit in Liberal, KS. The primary responsibility of the Medical/Surgical Nurse is to provide, coordinate, and document medical care throughout a patient's stay at the facility. Specific responsibilities depend on the ailment in question and involve care from beginning to end. The Nurse plays a key communication role by coordinating care with various members of the patient's medical team. Additionally, the Med/Surg Nurse provides emotional support to patients and their family members.

Responsibilities

Admitting and assessing patients

Administering medications and treatments

Monitoring vital signs and symptoms

Operating and tracking medical equipment

Running and ordering tests

Coordinating care with physicians and specialists

Charting patient progress

Patient ratio: 1:6

Requirements

Experience: 2-year experience required

First-time Travelers: 1-year previous travel experience

Certifications/License: BLS, Valid KS or Compact RN license

Need to have experience with children and infants

Charting:

On-Call: Yes

Weekend Requirement: Yes

COVID & FLU: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only

Locals allowed: No, requires that your permanent residence is more than 50 miles from location

RTO Restrictions: All RTO must be included at time of submission
