Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg / Telemetry 2,628 per week

Certification Details ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, Tech Cert Verification-National, State License 1 Verification, NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP), NIH Stroke Certification, Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam, Competency Exam, Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam, NY Harassment Prevention Training Certificate (Annual) are required as applicable.

13-week contract length.
No block scheduling.
End of week on-call duty required.
Floating shifts as needed.
Patient care includes medical/surgical, primary hospitalist unit care, orthopedic, and bariatric surgeries.
Job Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience required; prefer 3-5 years experience.
Must come out of a teaching facility.
Must have experience from a minimum of 200 bed facility.
Previous experience in an acute care setting is mandatory.
First time travelers acceptable if they have not worked in LTAC, home care, or critical access hospitals.
Schedule Information May request up to five days off; any additional time off must be approved prior to start.
Required to work on holidays based on unit needs and schedule.
Patient ratio for primary nursing is 1:5-6.
Team nursing patient ratio can vary from 1 RN & 1 LPN for 7-8 patients during day shifts to 9-10 patients during night shifts.
Unit Specific Information Patient Diagnosis includes: Medical/Surgical patients, Ortho & Bariatric Surgeries.
The unit is a Primary Hospitalist unit.
Additional Details Units accept first-time travelers with the proper background.
Modules to be completed prior to start.
Central Telemetry unit requires managing dysrhythmias.
