Job Title: Certified Surgical First Assistant

Guaranteed Hours: Apply after the first call off per pay period
Experience: Minimum 2 years in Orthopedics
License: FL license or a compact license required at time of submission
Certifications: CSFA Required; NBSTSA Preferred, BLS Required
Must-Have:
• Inpatient, Community Hospital work setting experience
• First Assisting, Scrub, Aseptic Technique skills
• Experience with General, Ortho, Ortho/Total Joints, Urology, Endo/Laparoscopic cases
• Experience with Bariatrics, Podiatry, ENT, Dilation and Curettage L&D
• Proficiency with Stryker, Depuy, Zimmer, Synthes equipment
• Positive attitude, teamwork capability, responsibility, and flexibility
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical or religious exemptions accepted)

• Participate in a high volume of robotic and navigational total joint surgeries.
• Handle a variety of cases including General, Orthopedics, Urology, and Endo/Laparoscopic.
• Preferred experience with Ortho/Spine, Vascular, Thoracic, Gyn cases.
• Required weekend and on-call shifts, including approximately 4 weeknights and 2 weekend shifts per month, with possible holiday work.
• Must be willing to float within the scope of the facility needs and to sister facilities as required.
• Open to discussing block schedules during the interview process.
• Ensure communication with respect, trustworthiness, and show dignity to all individuals.
• Travel compliance required with specific charting experience preferred.
• Pass/Fail EKG exam required with modules completed pre-start and annually, hours varying by specialty.
