This role involves estimating and managing site development projects, including grading, underground utilities, and drainage systems. The ideal candidate must hit the ground running, manage multiple responsibilities, and serve as the

face of the company

in business development efforts.

Education:

High school or equivalent; a degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering is desirable.

Software Expertise:

Must have 3D estimating software experience ( Ag-Tek preferred ).

Requirements:

Experience:

Grading estimating experience

is mandatory.

Proven project management experience with a track record of successfully estimating and managing civil site and utility construction projects.

Software Skills:

Proficiency in 3D estimating software ( Ag-Tek or Carlson Civil Software preferred ).

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project Standard scheduling software.

Communication and Personality:

Strong communication skills and a dynamic personality to represent the company and ease the owner's burden.

Must have business development skills and be able to sell jobs and build relationships.

Additional Requirements:

No job hoppers or union experience.

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities:

Project and Team Management:

Manage site superintendents, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure projects stay within budget and are completed on time.

Oversee project budgets and schedules while ensuring compliance with safety policies.

Estimating Duties:

Use

3D estimating software

to develop accurate and competitive bids.

Conduct quantity take-offs, prepare bid proposals, and compare pricing to historical data.

Client Communication:

Serve as the primary communicator with project owners and engineers.

Attend pre-bid meetings and negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors.

Project Oversight:

Develop and maintain project schedules, monitor progress, and prepare budget updates.

Handle change order pricing and negotiations.

Documentation and Reporting:

Review material submittals and request approvals.

Communicate project specifications and plans to superintendents and foremen.
