We are looking for a detail-oriented Construction Estimator to oversee the foreseeable costs of major developments. The ideal candidate will review all project specifications, determine appropriate materials, negotiate favorable pricing, and draft proposals for review.

Construction Estimator Responsibilities:
Collect and analyze property plans, technical drawings, and project specifications.
Study documentation, meet with clients, and inspect construction sites to understand project requirements.
Determine the most appropriate human and material resources for each project.
Obtain and evaluate multiple quotes to select the best offers.
Negotiate with service providers for better pricing.
Outline work plans and estimate timelines for project completion.
Perform risk assessments to anticipate potential deviations.
Calculate overarching prices, accounting for resources and profit margins.
Draft detailed proposals, including materials, costs, and time frames.
Meet with clients to address their thoughts and concerns about proposals.

Construction Estimator Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience as an estimator for commercial ground-up and renovation projects.
Qualification in project management (preferred).
Demonstrated ability to forecast costs for large, involved building developments.
Strong knowledge of technical and non-technical project documents.
Exceptional quantitative skills and proposal writing abilities.
Strong negotiation skills with seasoned sales personnel.
Dependable, conscientious, and well-spoken professional.

Requirements
Must Have:
Minimum 5 years of experience estimating new ground-up commercial projects, including Commercial, Automotive, Education, Healthcare, and Senior Living.
Must live within 1 hour of Farmington Hills, MI.
Stable work history with no job hopping.
Ability to estimate multiple projects at once.Self-motivated with a can-do attitude.
Proficient in change order pricing and negotiation.
Experience in reviewing material submittals and requesting approvals.
Experience attending pre-bid meetings with owners, vendors, and subcontractors.
