Software Engineer - Mid Level

As a Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and defining requirements to determine the most effective software and web technologies to satisfy client needs. You'll develop, maintain, support, and enhance complex software systems based on documented requirements, providing specific input to system design, and adhering to formal design processes and guidelines. You'll design and develop user-friendly interfaces, maintain technical documentation, and ensure quality control of software. You will select development processes, recommend new technologies, and troubleshooting complex software problems. You'll also integrate new products with existing applications to improve system functionality and design.

Experience and Qualifications:
To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:
Required Education and Years of Experience:
9 years of professional experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent;
7 years of professional experience with a Master's degree or equivalent;
5 years of professional experience with a PhD or equivalent;
Additional years of experience are accepted in lieu of a degree
Required Qualifications:
Active Top Secret with the ability to obtain a Polygraph
Ability to complete development work on the high-side Linux environment
Security certification
Java experience (any level of experience)
Python experience (any level of experience)
Mongo experience (any level of experience)
Postgres experience (any level of experience)
Appian Experience (At least 2 years of experience designing, developing or supporting Appian or Appian-based applications)
Desired Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Skilled in communications with government customers on issues
Cloud experience
Familiar with DIA engineering environment
Ability to capture user issues and feedback
Ability to create sustainable processes
FIDOS-X experience
Skilled in engineering efforts (using Appian) of core processes for a federal government agency
Telework/Remote Availability:
Telework available, must be able to work in a SCIF

Summary Pay Range:
Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
