About the role

The Software Engineer will design and develop software applications and services, actively participate in an agile team by contributing to task estimation, implementation, and issue resolution, adhere to established coding standards throughout the software development life cycle, collaborate with product managers and team members, assist in creating functional and technical specifications, be open to leadership opportunities, work closely with product owners and QA to deliver business-centric solutions in a fast-paced environment, and enhance core business products based on customer requirements and the product architect's direction to swiftly address challenging problems, ultimately driving the company's success and contributing to sales growth through innovative software solutions.
What you'll do

Participate as a productive member of an agile team of engineers, showing your initiative and problem-solving skills.
Be responsible for task estimation, implementation and issue resolution.
Follow established coding standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the software development life cycle.
Communicate well with product managers, customer support, and other team members.
Contribute to the creation of functional and technical specifications.
Be prepared for leadership opportunities as they arise.
Outline duties that contribute to growing company sales.

Work closely with product owners, other engineers and QA to deliver business-centric solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Enhance core business products based on customer requirements and product architect's direction to quickly solve challenging problems.
Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
4+ years of software engineer experience
Use, develop and debug large enterprise CRM and ordering applications in Delphi through at least version 10.3.
Use, develop and debug Oracle PL/SQL code in database packages, functions, triggers, etc.
Ability to create code with a meaningful object-oriented design.
Ability to understand, and write code to fulfil, API specifications.
Experience using Git or similar version-control tools.
Thorough understanding of views, indexes, constraints, partitioning, collections, analytical functions, etc.
Experience writing unit and integration tests.
Familiarity with agile/scrum methodology within a defined software development life-cycle.
Experience developing large enterprise CRM and ordering applications or services with an international scope.
Optionally, additional programming experience in Java, such as for API services.
Work Arrangements

Hybrid/Flex Work:

Flexibility to transition between in-office and remote work as needed, based on company policies and team requirements. (see below for more details)

Office-based Work:

Ability to work in an office environment, including extended periods of sitting, typing, and computer use.
Mobility within the office to attend meetings, collaborate with colleagues, and access relevant documents or resources.

Remote Work:

Adequate home office setup, including a quiet and distraction-free workspace, ergonomic chair, and high-speed internet access.
Ability to work effectively from a remote location, ensuring a professional and organized environment conducive to focused work.
Familiarity with remote communication tools (e.g., video conferencing, collaboration platforms) to engage in virtual meetings and discussions.
