Bayside Veterinary Care, a full-service small animal practice located in Barrington, Rhode Island, is seeking an experienced veterinary technician.
We are a progressive, patient-centered practice with an emphasis on comprehensive, compassionate care and client education. Our facility is equipped with the latest technology including: IDEXX Cornerstone software, IDEXX digital x-ray, IDEXX in-house lab equipment, digital color ultrasound, tonometry, all parameters of anesthesia monitoring (including ET CO2), a full in-house and online pharmacy, and dental x-ray.
Our staff is comprised of mature, thoughtful and drama-free professionals who work together as a team. In keeping with our dedication to providing Fear-free care to our patients, we strive to maintain an upbeat, congenial attitude while delivering top quality medical care.
The right candidate should be respectful, eloquent, independent-thinking, and a team player. General abilities must include a firm grasp of veterinary terminology; strong computer skills, client communication, and consistently gentle caregiving. Specific skills must include safe restraint and monitoring for fear or pain, routine wellness care (injections, phlebotomy, laboratory testing), and surgical patient preparation, IV catheterization, and monitoring. This position includes Saturdays and evening hours.
