About the Role:
Aquila is seeking a

Remote Software Developer to join our team in supporting one of the country's premier defense research organizations.

There are a few requirements for the position:
Must be a U.S Citizen (Green Cards / Visas do not qualify)
Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation and maintain a personal security clearance. (Aquila would sponsor you for the security clearance.)

What You'll Do:

Develops application software. Writing and implementing efficient code. Researches, designs, develops and implements software applications and systems. Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards. Evaluates, designs and implements interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, cloud offering, system architecture, security and characteristics of overall system. Researching, designing, implementing and managing software programs. Identifying areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently developing these modifications. Determining operational practicality. Documents testing, client experience and maintenance of system corrections. May partner and collaborate with cyber security teams to ensure compliance with security standards. May develop and conduct unit tests
Responsibilities:
Design and develop the user experience for generative AI applications.
Build responsive, intuitive, and user-friendly interfaces for applications using React, JavaScript, and Bootstrap.
Interface front-end applications with REST APIs.
Conduct thorough testing and validation of applications to ensure accuracy, reliability, and performance.
Troubleshoot and debug applications, identifying and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Generative AI and apply this knowledge to improve the user experience for Generative AI applications.
Collaborate with the team to develop and maintain portfolio-related documentation, guidelines, and best practices.
Must Have:

Bachelor's Degree
1 years Working within an Agile development framework
1 years Familiarity with commercially available Generative AI solutions and platforms
1 years Understanding of Generative AI technology
Excellent Problem Solving
Strong team communication
3 years Designing and developing the user experience for customer facing applications5 years Designing web-based applications
5 years developing front-ends for applications in React
5 years Customizing Bootstrap using Sass
5 years developing front-ends for applications in JavaScript
3years Interfacing front-end applications with REST APIs
5 years Styling front-ends for applications using Bootstrap
Nice to Have:

Experience with Apache Solr and creating data pipelines for search products
Designing applications that leverage Generative AI technology
Integrating Generative AI with existing systems and applications
Containerization (Docker, podman, etc.)
Experience with AWS and Azure platforms including AI-specific services (Azure OpenAI & AWS Bedrock)
