Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (Night Shift)

Schedule: Full-time, Night Shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, 3 nights per week)

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team in a rural acute critical access hospital setting. This full-time night shift position offers a unique opportunity to work independently and make a meaningful impact on a close-knit community.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive respiratory care for patients of all ages, from newborns to geriatrics, including end-of-life care.

Operate and manage advanced respiratory equipment, including:

Fisher & Paykel Airvo 2 Heated High Flow System

Hamilton T1 ventilator

Nihon Kohden NKV-330 Non-Invasive Ventilation machine

Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) draws and EKGs.

Administer breathing treatments using various devices and delivery systems.

Manage ventilators and provide airway management for critical patients.

Work autonomously during night shifts, ensuring high standards of patient care and responding to emergencies as the sole respiratory therapist on duty.

Document patient care using the Meditech Electronic Medical Record system.

Qualifications:

Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (required).

Current certifications in or ability to obtain:

Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

Experience working with diverse patient populations across the lifespan.

Familiarity with the equipment listed above is strongly preferred.

Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
