Registered Nurse Emergency - Pediatrics

Job Summary:
Under general supervision, the Pediatric Emergency Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in the Emergency Department.
This role involves managing care for a range of health issues, from simple to complex, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and effective communication with families throughout the care process.Key Responsibilities:
Manage an assigned group of pediatric patients, accurately documenting responses to nursing interventions and prescribed

physicians in examinations and minor procedures, gathering and monitoring patient data as required.Monitor physiological data of patients, responding to changes and intervening as necessary.Administer medications and initiate, regulate, and monitor IV infusions and blood products.Communicate care plans with patients and their families, providing education about hospital procedures and discharge instructions.Refer patient care needs to appropriate personnel and delegate tasks to support staff when necessary.Perform additional duties as assigned to meet the unit's needs.Required Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a multistate compact RN License (eNLC).Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart

Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart

Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification from the Emergency Nurses

of 1 year of nursing experience.Strong knowledge of pediatric nursing theories, techniques, and procedures.Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively support patients and their families.Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from a Board-approved program.Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification from the Emergency Nurses Association.
