Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Telecommunications Professional Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining telecommunications systems and networks. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and efficient communication solutions that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage telecommunications projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Design and implement telecommunications systems, including wireless, fiber optic, and satellite communication networks.
Conduct site surveys, prepare detailed engineering reports, and develop project plans and specifications.
Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations, including NEC, NESC, NFPA, ANSI/TIA Telecommunications Building Wiring Standards, FCC, IEEE and BICSI, etc.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, field engineers, and contractors, to ensure successful project execution.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
Perform feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost estimates for potential projects.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to telecommunications systems.
Maintain and update knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Arkansas (AR); additional licenses in southeastern states preferred.
10-15 years of experience in telecommunications engineering, with a strong emphasis on electrical engineering principles.
Proven experience in designing and implementing telecommunications systems and infrastructure.
Proficiency with engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MATLAB, ETAP, O-Calc Pro).
Strong knowledge of telecommunications regulations, standards, and best practices.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
