Position Overview The Regional Sales Director is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for driving sales strategies, managing regional sales teams, and achieving revenue targets within a specified geographical area.
This individual will ensure the alignment of sales objectives with the overall business goals and foster a culture of high performance, collaboration, and engagement within the sales team.
Essential Job Duties Sales Strategy and Planning

Develop and implement comprehensive sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base within the region.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new sales opportunities and areas for growth.
Collaborate with senior management to set sales objectives, budget forecasts, and performance metrics.

Team Leadership and Management

Lead, mentor, coach, and motivate the regional sales team to achieve individual and team sales goals.
Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and implement development plans to enhance team capabilities.
Foster a positive and collaborative team environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.

Customer Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders within the region.
Ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction through regular communication and addressing customer concerns promptly.
Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that may impact customer relationships and sales performance.

Sales Operations and Reporting

Oversee sales operations, including territory management, account planning, and sales pipeline management.
Monitor and report on sales performance, including KPIs, revenue targets, and market share.
Utilize CRM tools and data analytics to track sales activities, opportunities, and outcomes.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
A Master's degree is preferred.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing regional or national sales teams.
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.

Competencies

Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strategic thinking and analytical skills to identify market opportunities and develop effective sales strategies.
Proficient in using CRM software, data analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to travel within the region as required

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
This is predominantly a highly active in movement role.
The job would also require the ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
