Secretary - Learning & Development
Part-time 2 (15 hours per week - 8 am - 4 pm)
Education/Requirements:
High School Graduate/GED. Secretarial experience preferred.
Typing/word processing and computer skills required.
Knowledge of Healthcare terminology is preferred.
EssentialFunction:Performs all receptionist and secretarial duties as required by the Director of Learning & Development, Learning Specialists, Nurse Administrators, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
Answering telephones; taking and distributing accurate messages; greeting customers and directing them to the appropriate location
Providing or mailing forms related to programs as needed.
Informs and directs inquiries about the status of any program offerings.
Processes paperwork related to programs, classes and meetings including the photocopying and collating of materials.
Prepares packets of information for orientation and other offerings
Sends agendas, attends meetings and records and transcribes minutes of assigned meetings. Follows-up on "action items".
Types and maintains records for hospital orientation, programs, workshops and continuing education courses offered by the Director of Learning & Development, Learning Specialists, Nurse Administrators, and others.
Maintains Master files for competencies for Nursing staff.
Coordinates all record keeping associated with CPR, ACLS, NRP, and other courses.
Types and/or composes memos, letters and other correspondence from a general idea.
Demonstrates the ability to work as a team player.
All other duties as assigned.
