Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Experience: Minimum preferred 2 years of bedside nursing experience in a comparably sized hospital (200+ beds), ideally in a busy level 1 trauma center
License: Active Registered Nurse (RN) or compact state license
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) - must be American Heart Association (AHA)
Must-Have:
• EPIC experience
• Thorough attention to detail
• Understanding of a variety of disease processes
• Ability to communicate clearly and work well in a team
• Provide nursing care to adult patients in a 32-bed medical-surgical unit
• Perform head-to-toe and focused assessments
• Administer medications
• Communicate with the interdisciplinary team
• Update patient and family on plan of care
• Advocate for patients as needed
• Document all care provided
• Use equipment such as OmniCell, Philips Care Monitors, glucometers, bladder scanners, Language Line, and Zebra phones
• Work 12-hour shifts, rotating day/night, with every other weekend and holiday
• May be required to float to other medical-surgical units
• Participate in an 8-hour classroom training session followed by 24 hours of unit training
• Adhere to the dress code of navy blue scrubs
• Willingness to float to various units/locations as needed
• Experience in travel nursing is highly preferred
