The Role at a Glance

The person in this role will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Master Data Management solutions. It involves working closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, and IT teams to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of the data mastered through the C360 process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience with MDM tools and technologies.

What you'll be doing

  • Takes a lead role in analyzing, designing, coding, testing, and implementing complex application enhancements within a Talend environment, as well as providing general production support, meeting defined scope and target dates with minimal or no defects.

  • Maintains knowledge of current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with senior management to incorporate current trends and developments in current and future solutions.

  • Directs and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.

  • Effectively communicates with team members, customers, partners, and management, including assisting with or conducting more complex technical walkthroughs, reporting project status, enabling vendor solutions, and providing accurate and concise documentation.

  • Identifies and directs the implementation of process improvements that significantly improve quality across the team, department, and/or business unit for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.

  • Mentors and provides direction on complex assignments, projects, and/or initiatives to build and enhance the capability of their assigned area(s) of responsibility, adhering to project schedule, technical direction, and application development standards.

  • Assesses and measures how solution design impacts IT infrastructure capacity, application architecture standards, future maintenance/support needs, and bottom-line cost benefits in consultation with appropriate internal stakeholders.

  • Serves as a subject matter expert and/or provides direction on the design & development of applications systems while demonstrating an understanding of the broad implications & financial impacts of proposed solutions on operational & infrastructure support.

  • Serves as an escalation point for technical issue resolution.

  • Provides input on the development of project plans, test plans, and implementation plans, including determining estimates on timelines, needed resources, and budgets.

  • Investigate and resolve complex problems, including providing support for production systems in a timely manner.

  • Proactively identifies problems and presents/develops complex solutions.

  • Communicates effectively with internal stakeholders and management.

  • Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented.

  • Experience in Agile framework and development model.

What we're looking for

Must-Have:

  • 4-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience. (Minimum Required)

  • 5+ years' experience in application development that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities of this position. (Required)

Technically proficient in the following languages/frameworks, application platforms, and developer tools (5+ years of experience)

  • Amazon Web Services (EMR, EC2, Elastic Beanstalk, Lambda, CloudWatch, SNS, SQS, Lambda, CloudWatch, Secret Manager, IAM, S3, RDS, EMR)

  • SQL query building/relation database

  • Unix shell scripting

  • Hadoop HDFS

  • Rest API

  • Java

Nice to Have:

  • Technically proficient in the following languages/frameworks, application platforms and developer tools:

  • Apache Big Data tools (Spark, Hive, Sqoop, Pig)

  • Python

  • Presto SQL

The pay range for this position is $90,300 - $164,700 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln's total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln's standard benefits package.
