About Our Client

This Detroit based construction company is a leading ENR rated General Contractor/Construction Manager. They are a leader in the Michigan market with many excellent clients and a steady pipeline of Higher Education, commercial, industrial, and automotive projects. This company grew 30% in revenue this past year and are anticipating another 30% growth this upcoming year which makes this a fantastic opportunity for growth with an endless ceiling.

Key responsibilities for Senior Project Manager (Ann Arbor, MI) include:

Provide leadership and direction on commercial construction projects
Monitor/control construction through administrative direction of on-site and corporate staff to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget
Work with the Project team to develop a work plan, establish priorities and assign tasks
Coordinate the preparation of the schedule and long term planning
Implement, monitor, update and communicate the progress schedule and its periodic revisions
Manage financial aspects of contracts: review and approve budgets, cost reports, rental equipment and expenses
Perform the final review of internal items such as Cost Analysis, Monthly Billing, Master Cost Breakdown and Monthly Reports
Manage subcontractor schedules, quality of work, coordination with other trades and payments
Create and maintain a safe/secure job site environment
Review and approve drawings and samples prior to submittal
Train and develop the Project team and schedule project resources

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate for Senior Project Manager (Ann Arbor, MI) possesses:

10+ years of commercial construction experience
8+ years of project management experience with full-service general contractor
Strong background in Commercial/Industrial/Automotive Construction is preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
The ability to work in a fast paced work environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
The desire to grow their career professionally
Strong track record with client relationships

Base salary of $120,000-$170,000
