WHO YOU ARE:
As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will be assisting providers in the administration of
with patient examinations, procedures, diagnostic studies, treatment, and dressing changes.
Perform general duties in accordance with the Joint Commission and government standards, as well as policies and procedures of Catholic Medical Center.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
•Reviews charts prior to patients' scheduled appointment to assessing reason for appointment, ensures visit is appropriately booked, all requested lab work and diagnostic procedures have been completed and that reports have been returned and are accessible to the provider.
•Obtains and records patient vital signs, current medications, height, weight and blood pressure and reason for visit.
Updates problem list if applicable.
Documents all interactions in the medical record.
•Recognizes and reports relevant information that requires urgent attention.
•Direct patients to examination rooms; assist in preparing patients for examination; assist patients in undressing, dressing and getting on and off the examination table.
Informs provider of patient's arrival and readiness for their examination.
•Assists providers with patient examinations and procedures.
•Obtains patient charts, in response to patient phone calls, and address patient care needs with provider.
Qualifications
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
•Be a graduate from an approved Medical Assistant Program
•CMA (Certified Medical Assistant)
•Basic Life Support (BLS)
•And one year related work experience in a medical office preferred
