Description

Our client is seeking a Senior Estimator to join their team.
You will be responsible for providing accurate and timely cost estimates for a variety of commercial projects.
This includes reviewing bid documents, collaborating with project managers, and ensuring the company's proposals are competitive and aligned with client expectations.
The role requires hands-on experience with hard bid estimating, as well as familiarity with GMP (Guaranteed Maximum Price) bids.

The Senior Estimator - Commercial, Office, Healthcare - East MD will have the following responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation of accurate estimates for commercial projects ranging from $5M to $25M in value
• Work closely with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate takeoffs and bid submissions
• Manage the estimating process from initial analysis through final proposal
• Collaborate with other team members, delegating tasks to junior estimators as needed
• Provide clarity and direction to clients, ensuring transparency and effective communication throughout the bid process

Profile

The Senior Estimator - Commercial, Office, Healthcare - East MD will have the following qualifications:

• 5+ years of estimating experience with a general contractor
• Strong background in hard bid estimating (GMP experience is preferred)
• Commercial project experience ranging from $5M to $25M
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and provide direction
• Familiarity with estimating software (any platform)
