Description

Our client is seeking a Senior Estimator to join their team.
You will be responsible for providing accurate and timely cost estimates for a variety of commercial projects.
This includes reviewing bid documents, collaborating with project managers, and ensuring the company's proposals are competitive and aligned with client expectations.
The role requires hands-on experience with hard bid estimating, as well as familiarity with GMP (Guaranteed Maximum Price) bids.

The Senior Estimator - Commercial, Office, Healthcare - East MD will have the following responsibilities:

Lead the preparation of accurate estimates for commercial projects ranging from $5M to $25M in value
Work closely with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate takeoffs and bid submissions
Manage the estimating process from initial analysis through final proposal
Collaborate with other team members, delegating tasks to junior estimators as needed
Provide clarity and direction to clients, ensuring transparency and effective communication throughout the bid process

Profile

The Senior Estimator - Commercial, Office, Healthcare - East MD will have the following qualifications:

5+ years of estimating experience with a general contractor
Strong background in hard bid estimating (GMP experience is preferred)
Commercial project experience ranging from $5M to $25M
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and provide direction
Familiarity with estimating software (any platform)
