Spherion Oxnard has a Machinist 1st shift to support our customer in Camarillo.
Our Machinist will be support to our customer on a Monday to Friday schedule.

Set tools in machine locations accurately for setup and perform part changeovers, including program retrieval and input.Establish work offsets (G54, G55, etc.) manually or using probing technology.Read, understand, and reset CNC machine program codes.Calculate and input axis coordinates (X, Y, and Z) for CNC machines up to 3 axes, or use a spindle probe to determine work offsets.Use Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) results to adjust work offsets.Perform new setups on machines, including tool and fixture changes, offset adjustments, N/C tape loading, and first article

programs to correct errors or substitute cutting tools as needed.Measure dimensions using tools and gauges to ensure compliance with

M/S Operators with tooling, fixturing, or programming issues during size change setups.Provide guidance, training, and support to M/S Operators I and II in machine operations, product quality, safety, and housekeeping.
Report training progress to the Operations Supervisor.Working hours:

to calculate tolerance zones from unilateral, bilateral, and geometrical tolerance callouts.Understanding of numerical control programs and their effect on machine tool
