LOGISTICS/FLEET SERVICES MGR

Monitor on time and efficient performance of repairs, servicing, and maintenance of work and utilization of the equipment and manpower involved for assigned location of responsibility. To ensure assigned location is conducting safety inspections and follow up to maintain a satisfactory safety record and Must drive results that achieve planned levels of costs and progress against operational effectiveness of key performance indicators (KPI). Minimum
Demonstrate ability to build and motivate work force with at least 5 years fleet supervisory experience.
General understanding of driver rules and DMV code as it relates to commercial driver delivery operations.
Ability to write effective management and labor schedules.
Ability to read, present and understand garage financial plans and reports.
A good geographic understanding of city and interstate highway locations and Southern California traffic patterns.
Desired

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
Experience in the retail environment
Experience in the unionized environment
Plan, organize and supervise hourly personnel to oversee repairs to fleet units.
Manage parts inventories at acceptable levels and control expense levels.
Monitor direct labor schedules to reduce costs and make proposals to adjust workforce.
Review work methods to identify cost saving areas.
Work closely with Transportation personnel and Warehouse Management to ensure proper service is delivered to their department.
Responsible for the compliance with DOT and State Motor Carriers safety regulations as they apply to maintenance.
Willing to work flexible days and hours, being on call 24/7 and available to respond to vehicular accident scenes.
Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provides feedback to direct reports.
