Who We Are:

RNGD's Architectural Fabrication division serves a wide range of commercial projects under our parent company, Impetus (formerly Palmisano), as well as external collaborations with renowned design firms, developers, and general contractors. We specialize in delivering exceptional custom architectural fabrication projects, catering to the highest standards of craftsmanship, from prefabrication to installation.

Role Description:

We are seeking a candidate for the role of Drafting Engineer who possesses a comprehensive background in submittal creation for architectural fabrication, including shop drawings and detailing. Our organization has fostered a team-driven approach to the submittal process, fostering seamless communication and synergy between our internal team members and esteemed clients. In this role, proficiency in communication, keen attention to detail, unwavering accuracy, self-motivation, and the capacity to thrive under demanding timelines are vital attributes.

Specific Responsibilities Involved:

Work closely with Project Managers to ensure the timely and impeccable execution of each project, adhering to the highest standards of quality.
Maintain unwavering focus and productivity, consistently meeting or surpassing project deadlines.
Thoroughly analyze and interpret architectural drawings and specifications, carefully verifying dimensions and design intent.
Utilize a variety of software and tools, such as Rhino 3D, SketchUp, and AutoCAD, to create high-quality 2D and 3D architectural shop drawings.
Facilitate coordination with RNGD's internal team members, including Project Managers, Shop Foreman, and Custom Fabricators, throughout the process of shop drawing creation.
Provide valuable support to Project Managers, ensuring that RNGD's tolerances and intricate details are meticulously maintained during fabrication and installation, based on the curated shop drawings.

Desired Skills/Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 3 years in fabrication shop drawing creation or related fields such as architecture, engineering, and construction.
Proficiency in using Rhino 3D, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Microsoft Excel.
Experience (or familiarity) with the Adobe Suite and Bluebeam Revu.
Background in millwork shop fabrication techniques and methods a plus.
