MRG Exams is a premier provider of Independent Medical Evaluations (IME) and Permanent Partial Impairment Ratings (PPIR) for the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC), third-party administrators, Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), and employers.
We are looking for dedicated, board-certified MDs or DOs in Occupational Medicine, Physical Medicine & Rehab, or Orthopedics, as well as licensed Psychologists and Psychiatrists to join our team as Independent Medical Evaluators.
This is a fantastic opportunity for both experienced practitioners looking for a new challenge and those starting their careers in Independent Medical Evaluations.
As an Independent Medical Evaluator, you will conduct comprehensive medical assessments and evaluate for permanent partial impairment, providing objective clinical opinions in narrative reports to support claims adjudication and case management processes.
We provide in-depth training, so experience is a plus, but a willingness to learn is essential.
Travel within Ohio is a component of this role, and candidates who are already on the BWC's Disability Evaluators Panel are especially encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough medical evaluations and assessments following Ohio BWC guidelines and regulations.
Perform Permanent Partial Impairment Ratings accurately using the 5th Edition AMA Guidelines.
Document findings and craft clear, concise reports within established timelines.
Collaborate with internal teams to deliver high-quality service to our clients.
Maintain compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Engage in ongoing training and professional development activities.
Represent the organization with professionalism and integrity in all interactions.

Qualifications:
Licensed psychologist (PhD or PsyD).
Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of Ohio.
Willingness to travel as needed.
Previous experience with IME/impairment rating exams preferred but not required.
