POSITION OVERVIEW

The call center representative position is a full-time contact center position that combines both inbound customer service and sales. In this role, you will work on behalf of some of the biggest brands in retail, telecommunications, and software to provide business and residential customers with phone support, work to retain unhappy customers, and upsell customers on new products and services.
Prior contact center experience isn't required; candidates with a background in customer service industries, such as servers, bartenders, and retail associates, are encouraged to apply!

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
WHAT IS A CALL CENTER REPRESENTATIVE AND WHAT DO THEY DO?
In this role, you will handle outbound sales inquiries using state-of-the-art contact center technology and customer experience methodology. As a highly trained expert on products, technology, and business processes, you will work on behalf of some of the world's most recognized brands.
This role requires you to interact with hundreds of customers across the country each week to resolve support issues, sell new products and services, and ensure a best-in-class customer experience. In addition to being the best in the business when it comes to customer interactions, you will need to be confident, fully engaged, a team player, and dedicated to bringing a positive and enthusiastic outlook to work each day. In addition to being an all-around great asset to the team, our entry-level sales representatives are responsible for the following tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Listen to and resolve customer issues.
+ Utilize systems and technology to complete account management tasks
+ Recognize sales opportunities and apply sales skills to upgrade customers
+ Explain and position products and processes when interacting with customers
+ Appropriately escalate customer dissatisfaction
+ Ensure first-call resolution through problem-solving and effective call handling.

Qualifications
+ Must be 18 years of age or older
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills
+ The ability to type swiftly and accurately (20+ words a minute)
+ Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
+ Basic understanding of the Windows operating system
+ Highly reliable with the ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality
+ The ability to evaluate, troubleshoot, and follow up on customer issues
+ An aptitude for conflict resolution, problem-solving, and negotiation
+ Must be customer service oriented (empathetic, responsive, patient, and conscientious)
+ Ability to multi-task, stay focused, and self-manage
+ Strong team orientation and customer focus
+ The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where change and ambiguity are prevalent
+ Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with your team and customers
Preferred (Not Required)
+ One (1) year of experience in customer service, technical support, inside sales, back-office, chat, or administrative support in a contact center environment
+ State or Federal work experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This job operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be largely sedentary and will be required to sit/stand for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset. The employee will be regularly required to operate a computer and other office equipment, including a phone, copier, and printer.
