Registered Nurse (RN)
for the Pre-Op/Post-Op/Operating Room team at the Physicians Surgery Center.
Sign-On Bonus:
$1500 available for this position!
Work Schedule:
PRN - work 3 days per month, typically Monday-Wednesday of one week.
Office hours: Monday-Friday, 5:30am to early/mid afternoon; shifts may vary slightly as needed.
No late nights, weekends, or on-call shifts!
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
Current Missouri RN License required.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
Preferred previous nursing experience in settings such as Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC), Pre/Post-Op/PACU, Operating Room, ICU, Medical Surgical, or Telemetry floor.
Position Summary:
As a Registered Nurse, you will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document the nursing care of patients in accordance with established standards and policies. You will participate in direct patient care and help maintain a clean and safe environment.
Performance Expectations:
Critical Thinking: Effectively supervise and direct patient care in the operating room, ensuring adherence to accepted standards and promptly reporting any unusual occurrences.
Interpersonal Skills: Maintain professional communication with patients, families, physicians, and staff, working collaboratively within a team.
Job Knowledge: Perform duties ethically and within the scope of your license, participate in continuing education, and assist in training new staff members.
Attendance: Arrive on time and maintain minimal absences, following assigned work schedules.
Physical Demands:
Ability to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods.
Occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds.
Occasionally push heavy equipment and assist patients with lifting.
Bend, stoop, kneel, and climb as necessary.
Working Conditions:
Work in well-lit and ventilated environments, including operating rooms and procedure areas.
