Health, Safety, & Environment Supervisor (Mining)
Our company is seeking a Health, Safety, & Environment (HSE) Supervisor to join our team. The HSE Supervisor will be responsible for executing and supporting objectives, processes, procedures, and plans as required by the Health, Safety and Environment program. This individual will help to prevent injuries and environmental accidents by identifying hazards, providing safe tools, training employees on safe working methods, inspecting the work sites and correcting unsafe actions.
Responsibilities:
• Work with regional HSE manager to develop and implement an HSE program across field services projects.
• Participate in developing a good safety culture.
• Implement and maintain appropriate preventative procedures to minimize risk to employees and the environment.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs to employees.
• Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and training.
• Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and industry organizations.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE management in the mining industry.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time.
