Health, Safety and Compliance Internship

This is a paid internship that is part of Heaven Hill's Summer Internship Program (running May-August).
The role is based at our Bardstown Bottling Facility in Bardstown, KY.

As part of the Heaven Hill Summer Internship Program, you will directly support the organizations strategic goals through project work and business-critical assignments.

What the Role Is
We are looking for an intern for the Health, Safety, Environmental, and TTB-Government Compliance team.
As an Intern, you will be working alongside the Regional Health & Safety Manager and our Environmental and Compliances teams to develop emergency safety maps for all of our domestic manufacturing locations (Kentucky, Texas, Illinois, Pennsylvania and New York.
You will be creating maps of the facilities that identify specific aspects of Safety, Security, Environmental and TTB compliance (fire extinguisher locations, product storage locations, etc.
).
Travel between Louisville and Bardstown will be required to support multiple sites.

How You Will Spend Your Time?
Conduct facility walkthroughs to build plant layouts
Schedule meetings with facilities outside of Kentucky to coordinate intel gathering
Mark and identify key markers from an EHS and Compliance perspective
Create drafts via Microsoft Visio
Schedule draft reviews with each site leader
Develop final maps to be implemented at site locations
Identify potential issues and coordinate with site leaders to ensure corrective actions
Develop and deliver a presentation to the Executive Leadership Team at the end of your internship experience

Who You Are.


Currently a junior / senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Engineering, or other EOHS related field
Proven ability to establish priorities with competing deadlines and effectively manage multiple projects
Demonstrate a sense of urgency for completion of tasks and projects; effective follow through
High level of organization and attention to details
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Excellent critical thinking skills, effectively using resources to solve problems
Enjoys working collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Visio

Physical Requirements
While performing duties of job, employee is frequently required to stand; extensive walking; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, and use of computer; reach with hands and arms.
Will be required to climb stairs and may be required to climb ladders.
Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
