We are currently assisting our client, a private family office, with a search for a Sr. Accountant.JOB SUMMARY:Purpose of role:

The Sr. Accountant will serve as a key member of the accounting and finance team. They will contribute to the financial health and integrity by ensuring accurate financial reporting, providing valuable financial analysis, maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and continuously improving financial processes and controls.

Primary responsibilities:

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Manage the month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to management on financial performance.
Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations of financial transactions.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and organizational policies.
Review and improve financial processes and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to support business initiatives and drive process improvements.
Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA required.
6 - 8 years of overall experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
2 + years of public accounting experience.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial accounting principles.
Experience with accounting systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
