Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Technical Support Service Representative is responsible for leading, developing, and implementing structure for technical sales support, training, and warranty for an HVAC/R industry leader. Responsibilities include providing a technical resource for customers and employees regarding equipment best practices. Develop technical and NATE related training programs for customers and employees. Assist account managers in closing sales opportunities. Provides structure related to warranty and unit exchange policy in order to reduce the number of warranty transactions.

Essential Job Functions:

Develops guidelines and tools in order to meet the growing demand for technical sales HVAC/R Provide technical support and troubleshooting for our customers and our employees. Assist in "on-site field support" for trouble jobs but refrain from touching, modifying, repairing or installation of product.
Creates a NATE training program for the Ware Also implement technical training for customers and employees in order to better understand the fundamentals of air conditioning and the installation guidelines for our HVAC equipment.
Assists Branch Managers and Account Managers in closing sales opportunities with larger dealers of equipment.Provide technical training for customers as part of in-house service to support and retain customers.
Provide technical training for customers as part of an in-house service to capture and retain sales.
Supports structure for warranty process and unit exchanges in an effort to reduce warranty transactions and allow for greater customer service.
Conducts service schools and other training and tracks and reports number of attendees trained - both customer and employee attendees.
Supports assigned locations in becoming one of the leading NATE testing centers in the U.S.
Assists the Purchasing and Marketing team with product mix, superseded products/subs, and add-ons/related items for increased sales.
Through internal/external resources maintains up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that effect target markets/products.
Establishes and maintains relationships with vendor partners and key customers.
Participates in meetings as applicable, providing customer and product data, strategies and and opportunities.
Establishes and maintains a consistent company image throughout all training and sales events/presentation.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Internal Relationships:

Consults, confers, communicates and interfaces with the store support team on training needs, product/industry trends. Meets regularly with Sales and Branch Management team members, and various members of marketing, purchasing, IT and human resources departments in order to achieve long-range and short-term goals.

External Relationships:

Consults,confers,communicates and interfaces with Market/Branch Management, Customers, Vendors and Industry Consultants.

Education, Work Experience, and Specialized Skills or Knowledge:

5+ years of HVAC field service experience
Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid co
Must have demonstrated ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions
Ability to make business decisions by an analytical as well as creative process.
Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to communicate proficiently in English and Spanish in both written and verbal formats

Physical Conditions / Working Environment:

Typical office environment working conditions at Branch Support and Branch facilities to attend meetings and frequent on-site visits to individual store/warehouse and customer operations that requires standing, walking and sitting for prolonged periods of time. Requires ability to climb stairs and ladders to get to second floor office complex or rooftops. Visual acuity required for reading, producing reports or doing computer work for extended periods of time. Somewhat limited physical exertion required in course of daily activity. Auditory acuteness required to perform heavy volume of telephone and personal contacts on an individual, or group meeting level. Moderate volume of personal business travel (automobile) of up to 50% on the local and state level.
