Director, Metro New York,
which includes New York City, New York State, New Jersey, and Philadelphia.
This position leads a broad portfolio of work, including fundraising/business development, financial management, and team management.
Candidates must live in and have established networks in the New York City Metro Area, New York State, New Jersey, and/or the Philadelphia Area.
This is a hybrid position working in the NYC office.

CSH is seeking a results-oriented individual committed to advancing anti-racism practices and sharing their talent to lead efforts to expand housing and services for highly impacted populations.
What you will do:
Provide strategic vision and thought leadership to implement CSH's strategic plan in the Eastern geography.
Deepen and cultivate effective, collaborative working relationships with leaders of philanthropic, government, and community-based organizations and people with lived experience to engage multi-sector leadership and investment in existing and new housing and services to ensure sustainability and growth of supportive housing.
Lead geographically based fundraising and business development efforts in partnership with CSH's Fund Development team and ensure on-time and on-budget philanthropic and consulting project budgets and deliverables.
Provide day-to-day leadership, supervision, and deployment of a geographically based staff team.
Develop and manage the team's portion of CSH's organizational budget.
Leverage and partner with CSH's national program units to pursue state and local outcomes.
Identify opportunities and learnings from projects to disseminate recommendations and impact across CSH teams and regions, making appropriate connections to share knowledge, experience, and advice.

Specifically, we are seeking:
15+ years of experience in supportive housing, affordable housing, healthcare, child welfare, and/or related fields.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or any combination of 15+ years of education, training, and experience demonstrating the ability to perform the position's duties.
This includes lived experience of homelessness, housing instability, mental health services, participation in housing programs, etc., and professional and/or volunteer experience in the homelessness and/or healthcare field.
Demonstrated leadership and high-level decision-making skills necessary to advance and realize CSH's vision and further advance the organization's mission.
Demonstrated management experience, including setting performance expectations and managing multiple internal and external projects and priorities.
Experience incorporating the perspectives of multiple communities, including communities of color, in evaluating the impacts and outcomes of a decision-making process.
Ability to facilitate discussions and systems change efforts among housing and service leaders virtually and in person.
An understanding of the concepts of institutional and structural racism and bias, white dominant culture and structures of power, and their impact on underserved and underrepresented communities is preferred.
Management experience, with demonstrated leadership and organizational skills and the ability to manage project teams, project budgets, and deadlines with moderate supervision.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, facilitation and training, active listening, and ability to present to diverse audiences, specifically racially, ethnically, and socially diverse communities.
CSH uses a Microsoft Office environment.
Proficiency and a commitment to self-learn and achieve proficiency upon hire are required.
Candidates seeking to work remotely or hybrid must provide their own access to a secure high-speed internet signal (preferably hard-wired) at a capacity sufficient to support video, web, and email processing simultaneously based on their personal work environment.
This is typically 100 MB and above.
Frequent local and regional travel and occasional national travel are required.
Travel varies by position and geography, but it is estimated to be between 20% and 40% for this position.
Compensation:
CSH offers generous benefits, opportunities for professional growth, and competitive salaries based on geographic location.
Our range for New York City is $142,000 - $178,000.
Our ranges are broad, and it is customary for candidates to join CSH at the lower half of the range to leave room for growth, learning, and development in the role and range.
It is uncommon for starting salaries to fall above the mid-point.
We negotiate actual salaries with final candidates based on their exact location, experience in similar roles, and expertise related to the qualifications.
