Position Summary:
This nurse residency program prepares nurses for an oncology staff nurse position and provides the foundation required to pass the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) certification program.
The program includes a six-month AORN, Periop 101 online didactic program and a 3-5 month clinical orientation.
Upon completion, nurses will be offered a full-time position and must commit to two years in the oncology department.
The candidate must undergo a rigorous application process and take and pass the Certified Registered Operating Nurse (CNOR) certification exam within six months from residency completion.
Education/Certification:
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and have and maintain a Registered Nurse license in the State of Connecticut.
Must have certification in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) upon hire.
