Job Summary:
Broadcom Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Installation Technician to join our Facilities team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation of semiconductor equipment into our existing cleanrooms. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of skills in plumbing, construction, high purity piping, ducting, and sheet metal work, with a strong preference for individuals experienced in ducting and/or sheet metal.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle ducting and sheet metal work, ensuring proper ventilation and airflow systems are in place. ( Coated and non coated Stainless steel duct)
Install semiconductor equipment and related systems in cleanroom environments.
Work with various piping systems, including high purity piping, to ensure proper installation.(Stainless steel and PFA)
Perform basic plumbing and construction tasks associated with equipment installation.(PVC, CPVC, and Copper)
Collaborate with other team members and contractors to ensure installations are completed on schedule and meet all safety and quality standards.
Follow cleanroom protocols and ensure compliance with company and industry regulations. Follow Broadcom's internal specification and tool installation standards.
Troubleshoot installation issues and provide timely solutions.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Create and complete work plan prior to all installations.

Qualifications and Experience:

Previous experience in plumbing, construction, high purity piping, ducting, or sheet metal is required.
Familiarity with semiconductor cleanroom environments is a plus.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment manuals.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Both verbal and written.
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Relevant certifications in plumbing, construction, or sheet metal work are a plus.
At this level 6+ years of related experience required.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Technical certifications or vocational training in plumbing, construction, or sheet metal is preferred.

Additional Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $24.50 - $34.65 per hour.

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents.
