National Jewish Health and Intermountain Health are seeking a full-time
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Lead
to join our OB Anesthesia team at St. Joseph Hospital located at 1375 E 19th Ave, Denver, CO 80218.
Position Summary
Working alongside a physician anesthesiologist and the CRNA Manager, the Lead CRNA autonomously delivers general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care for both planned and urgent obstetric surgery and obstetric procedures, while also executing anesthesia-related tasks. Additionally, they oversee and coordinate the efforts of fellow CRNAs including scheduling and workflow assignments.
Essential Duties
Leads the work of the other CRNA's.
Evaluates patients preoperatively and formulates and carries out an anesthesia care plan including monitoring and recording patient reaction to anesthesia and modifying the anesthetic plan accordingly.
Skilled in the use and maintenance of anesthesia equipment. Skill to communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and other hospital employees. Ability to assist with patients who may need ICU ventilators, high-risk intubations and facilitate fiber optic intubations.
Skilled in placing and using epidurals for labor analgesia.
Excellent communication skills and utilizes a collaborative, team-based model of care.
Promotes mission, vision, and values of both National Jewish Health and Intermountain/SCL Health, and abides by service behavior standards.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Master's Degree or higher required from an accredited Nurse Anesthetist Program.
Work Experience:
Minimum of 2 years' experience working as a CRNA on an OB deck required and 1 year experience leading the work of others required.
Special Training, Certification or Licensure:
Colorado RN license. Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license. CRNA certification by National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA). Active BLS and ACLS required, PALS preferred
Salary Range:
$235,000 - $247,000
