Director of Nursing- California
American Consultants is looking for a permanent Director of Nursing for a CCC facility outside San Bernadino, CA
POSITION SUMMARY
Within the framework of the objectives and policies established by the organization, plans and coordinates nursing services with medical and administrative systems.
Participates as a member of the hospital's management team in planning, policy formulation, and administrative decision making with particular reference to the role, functions, and operations of the hospital's nursing services.
In summary, this position is responsible for nursing personnel providing patient care.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
MINIMUM EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
The Director of Nursing must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing and hold a current California license as a Registered Nurse, in addition to documented nursing experience with progressive leadership experience.
A Baccalaureate Degree or higher is preferred but may substitute years of experience in lieu of education.
The incumbent must have effective skills in management and leadership, effective verbal and written skills, and effective skills in integrating nursing services and programs with all hospital services.
