Primary Responsibilities:

To edit and maintain jobs (Exports /Imports) in World Courier system.
To perform a 'Routing Check', specifically in regards to the selection and combination of different transport models (airplane, car, bus).
To check collected shipments in the office and prepare them for transport.
To monitor shipments during the transport and react flexibly to any deviation from the plan.
To continuously check the e-mails and the notes in World Courier system.
To check the planned departure or arrival times of flights ('Post Flight Check') and add Post Flight notes in World Courier system.
To recognize important information and make immediate use of this information.
To work securely with all pertinent regulations (DGR / IATA) as well as the local relevant laws and ordinances.
To use and maintain the available technical tools.

To be in communication with national and international World Courier stations and agents.
To maintain good relationships with subcontractors (brokers, dry ice suppliers, etc), transporters (airlines, handling agents), Customs, Government agencies, etc.
To regularly partake in being on-call.
To revise shipment's packaging before transport and report any irregularity.
To mark and label shipments as per regulations.
To weigh the shipments.
To prepare all necessary documentation (HWB, MAWB, import or export permit, export customs paperwork, live animal certificate, dangerous goods declaration, etc).
To check transport documents as per IATA-DGR.
To keep accurate records of discussions or correspondence with airlines, brokers and other key suppliers.
To submit entries to Customs systems.
To enter all customs duties and/or taxes in World Courier system as well as packaging costs, dry ice replenishment costs, brokerage fees, etc.
To ensure that all operational key suppliers charge World Courier as per quotations previously agreed.

To carry out daily activities according to the Standard Operations Procedures (SOPs).
To be fully collaborating.
To communicate courteously with airlines, brokers, other key suppliers (phone, e-mail, face to
face).
To ensure compliance with prescribed quality standards and issues as per ISO 9001, ISO14001 and GxP compliance program.

tasks assigned by his/her superiors, which are to be seen by their nature as part of his/her work area
or which arise out of necessity.
