• Provide high-quality, efficient, and compassionate healthcare to pediatric patients in a critical care setting.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure quality care and patient safety.
• Perform various procedures including spinal taps, sedation, and intubation/extubation.
• Titrate critical drips for sedation, vasoactive agents, and paralytics.
• Utilize equipment such as Alaris IV pumps, Bair hugger, Kangaroo Feeding Pump, Giraffe infant warmer, ventilators, BiPap, and High Flow O2.
• Manage 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratios depending on census and patient acuity.
• Efficiently utilize EMR systems (Meditech, Pyxis) for patient documentation.
• Demonstrate organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and prioritize effectively.
• Be flexible to float to NICU (low acuity), nursery, or OB/GYN as needed.
• Adhere to an appropriate dress code, with teal scrubs.
• Commit to a rotating weekend schedule and mixed shift availability to meet unit needs.
• Support a culture of service, teamwork, accountability, respect, and safety.
