Alternative Sentencing allows participants the opportunity to repay the community while continuing to work and support their families. It also helps reduce jail population and costs by allowing individuals sentenced to jail to serve their time in the community. The Alternative Sentencing Case Manager is an integral part in making this mission a reality. The Alternative Sentencing Case Manager assists participants through their court ordered process by balancing their needs and their risk to the community. The Ada County Sheriff's Office (ACSO) provides several different Alternative Sentencing programs for participants to serve their court ordered jail days while still having a connection to the community. Case Managers meet with sentenced individuals to determine which program the participant will be the most successful in. These programs include the Sheriff's Labor Detail (SLD), Sheriff's Community Service (SCS), House Arrest (HA), Out of County (OC), Scheduled Sentence (SSP) and the Community Transition Program (CTP). The ACSO is looking for a case manager who will review participant compliance which ensures court orders are being followed as well as assist participants with identifying and removing potential barriers. This position is located in the Ada County Sheriff's Office, Court Services Bureau.
