We are now recruiting for the exciting role of Engineer - Civil & Structural, to be involved in an industry-leading, cutting-edge design project for a new type of power station.
Reporting to a Lead Engineer - Civil & Structural, the Engineer will be responsible for contributing to civil and structural analysis and design work.
This includes developing technical solutions under direction and supervision including calculations, analysis models, drawings, and specifications.
Supporting completion of appropriate governance and quality assurance and general tasks as directed by their line manager.
The candidate will also assist with the integration of the civil/structural design solution with interfacing structures, systems, and components designed by other teams.
Candidates should ideally be working towards Chartered status.
This role offers the candidate the first opportunity for decades to work on the design development and Generic Design Assessment of a new nuclear plant design.
Key Responsibilities

Development of technical solutions to appropriate standard (supervised)
Completion of tasks in accordance with agreed timescales
Demonstrated commitment to Continual Professional Development (i.e.
progressing towards Chartership)
Adherence to design processes and procedures
Effective communication with team members and colleagues from across engineering
Develop understanding of Nuclear Safety Engineering and commitment to a healthy Nuclear Safety Culture
Demonstrable integration of conventional health and safety improvements to technical solutions.

Pay and Benefits

Salary - £40,000 - £52,500
A performance-related bonus of up to 12.5%
An attractive pension scheme with 12% employer and 6% employee contributions.
You will also receive a flexible benefits allowance of £2,200, enabling you to create a bespoke package to suit your needs.
28 days annual leave (plus bank holiday) with the ability to buy additional days.
