As part of our Quality Assurance team.
You will be managing the Quality Management System and you are responsible for the ISO 9001:
2015 certification process.
You will be also responsible to support project management teams involved in the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) which makes roughly up to 50% of your time.

Responsibilities

As a Quality Assurance Manager (QAM) you contribute to bids, projects and products by ensuring their quality and coaching/supporting the relevant operational teams in the execution of their tasks in line with relevant processes/governance, risk and opportunity management and problem solving.
You always keep the customer's perspective in mind and ensure that the bids/project/product meets his/her technical and non-technical requirements and expectations.
As a QAM you have an independent role and report to both bid/project/product and senior management on the operational performance of the teams you are involved with.
You are responsible to alignment with the Global and Business Line Quality leadership and will work closely with other QA colleagues in other locations.
You are the partner for project team members if it comes to quality, which most of the time leading to advicing, but could as well get to orchestrate quality investigations.

In addition to the above, you may also be involved in troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis (RCA), audits, assessments and other improvement initiatives.

The main tasks are:

• Maintain the Quality Management System and guarantee ISO 9001:
2015 certification.
Assist with other relevant certification process.

• Ensure the continual improvement of Quality Management system and compliance of processes to existing definitions.

• Ensure proper implementation and execution of Internal auditing process, provide annual planning and perform internal audits as required.
Align Internal audit process with Global Quality.

• Maintain alignment with Global Quality and relevant Business Line Quality leadership.

• Ensure execution of the Quality management process including internal assessments, Quality advice for relevant projects, Incident reporting, quarterly reporting to Business Line QA, internal process reviews and improvement.

• Work towards improvement of Quality mindset and support operational maturity increase

• Ensure that the customer's technical and non-technical requirements are captured, understood and managed efficiently by all members of the project team.

• Ensure that project deliverables meet customer requirements and norms and standards.

• Guiding the project team in defining and adjusting the Project reference system, and validating the plans.
Adjusts Quality Assurance actions to ensure they focus on risks, taking into account the maturity of the project team.

• Assessing the implementation of the project (in relation to the plans):
Evaluating the deliverables through peer reviews, and ensuring visibility through our assessment tool that is reflected in the monthly project dashboards, which has to be created by yourself.

• Ensure that measures are planned and taken to mitigate risks.

Requirements

• An HBO/WO working and thinking level with some experience with quality management or project management.

• Affinity with and interest in rail transport systems, processes, quality, problem solving and improvement.

• An analytical thinker with an open and curious mind and excellent communication and writing skills.

• Knowledge of experience in carrying out (internal) audits.

• Knowledge and experience in the rail domain is an advantage.
