People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Cambuslang, South Lanarkshire.

• Day to Day Duties*
Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to:
• Delivery of goods from store to home and trunking
• Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
• Essential Skills*
As a Class 1 Driver you will need to:
• Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence
• Have a minimum of 24 months experience driving CE vehicles
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
• Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card
• Complete a drug and alcohol test
• Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
• Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
• Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
• Effective communication skills
• Desirable Experience* Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
• Previous experience of multi drop deliveries will be beneficial
• Training* Driver's Assessment will have to be completed including theory test
• After successful Assessment, there will be a one-week paid induction (day shift)
