Head of Engineering Tech

Lead a team of engineers in building and maintaining Novicap's core platform, a crucial part of providing working capital management solutions to SMEs.

The Head of Engineering will report directly to the CEO and be responsible for:

Engineering:

Lead development and execution of the Engineering strategy, working with senior management to prioritize developments.
Define software architecture to respond to business needs efficiently.
Evaluate critical engineering issues and make final decisions.
Maintain the platform's integrity and double-entry accounting system.
Take responsibility for day-to-day platform functioning and safe deployments.
Coordinate with Product and business teams to solve problems.
Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to ensure platform meets high information and cyber security requirements.
Manage Senior Engineer and Engineering Manager, fostering an innovative culture.
Review and manage third-party vendors.

Collaboration with Product & Data:

Work with Head of Product to translate Product strategy into Engineering strategy and execution.
Coordinate between Product and Engineering teams from design to development.
Review and challenge Product designs to increase efficiency.
Lead development and execution for a resilient data infrastructure.

You will contribute to Novicap's long-term growth plans.

With a minimum 10 years of experience in CTO, CPO, or back-end engineering roles in tech-focused companies, you will have a strong product mindset, understanding of double-entry accounting systems, and ability to manage complex projects.

You will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the Product team and other teams across Madrid, Barcelona, and Spain.
