Long-time Canadian or established Immigrant.Fluent in English with a minimum CLB of 8 or equivalent.Adult EAL/ESL teaching experience or certification (e.g.
Certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language, CTESL) is an asset.Other teaching or tutoring experience is an asset.Ability to work with individuals from diverse ethno-cultural backgrounds.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong time management and organization skills.Patience.For online classes - experience using Zoom.Time Commitment:
1.5 hours per week.Minimum three-month commitment required.One meeting per week minimum.Shifts available on weekdays, evenings, and Saturdays.Online classes take place via Zoom.In-person classes take place at the Immigrant Centre or off-site at a public location (e.g.
library or coffee shop).
