Job summary
We are looking for a Vancouver Canada-based Marketing Director specializing in the AECO industry. If you're a marketing expert who thrives in the dynamic landscape and has a knack for technology, you might be just who we're looking for.
In this hands-on role, you'll create compelling marketing campaigns for our cutting-edge solutions and tap into partner networks and databases to discover fresh prospects and engage existing customer groups in the AECO sector.
Your tasks will be varied, with each day bringing an exciting work environment - from digitally generating leads and prospecting, to crafting digital marketing campaigns, generating rich content, and developing social media profiles. You'll also play a crucial role in nurturing new account opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities
Drive sales growth in the AECO segment by collaborating hands-on with sales representatives to generate leads and create targeted campaigns.
Handcraft marketing plans grounded in strategic marketing and segmentation principles, pinpointing relevant target audiences, profiles, and needs.
Take a hands-on approach to plan and implement various digital marketing activities including direct email campaigns, SEM, digital advertising, email nurturing, and amplifying social media presence.
Collaborate directly with customers to craft testimonials and customer success stories.
Create engaging digital content for marketing campaigns that can span from articles, brochures, and flyers to social media posts and infographics.
Provide direct support to the sales team by equipping them with the necessary content and tools required to prospect and develop new business.
Work closely with Salesforce to maintain database accuracy and leverage information for developing effective campaigns.
Attend and utilize Leica Geosystems' presence at events, fairs, and exhibitions to its fullest potential.
Support both internal & external marketing events in a hands-on manner.
Other tasks and projects to be added on an as-needed basis

Desired Background and skills
~3-6 years in Marketing field
~ BA/BS degree or equivalent in marketing or a related field
~ Experience in AECO or tech
~ Knowledge of industry trade publications, awards, and events
~ Digital Marketing Expertise: Understand the digital market landscape, know how SEM works, be familiar with email marketing, content marketing, paid and organic social media marketing, digital advertising via Google ads.
• Hands-on Content Creation: Proficiency in creating appealing content for various digital platforms (blogs, social media posts, email newsletters, web content) that engages the target audience. Knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Premier Pro is of advantage.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with digital tools - CRM and marketing automation systems like Salesforce and Pardot, digital marketing platforms, and social media tools
• Hands-on paid campaign set-up and execution on social channels and Google ads.
• Success measurement: Ability to analyze and interpret data using tools like Google Analytics to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.

~ Events: support event planning, including logistics, vendor relationships, venue selection, and customer service.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align event objectives and messaging with broader marketing strategy.
• Create engaging and digitally focused event marketing campaigns to promote brand awareness and reach our target audience.

Native or fluent in English
Highly organized, strong attention to detail and effective follow through
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Ability to come up with fresh, innovative ideas to capture the audience's attention and drive engagement.
Ability to demonstrate 'forward facing' communication skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills are vital for content creation and stakeholder communication.
